I joined Rotary International in the year 1996. Rtn.PP.S.P.Anthony Samy, the charter president of Rotary Club of Thanjavur New Town invited me to the club. It functions in Thanjavur, a town in Tamil Nadu state of India.
I held following posts from 1996 to 2006 in my club and the district 2708.

Later, I became the president for the year 2007-08. Mr. Nazer, a veteran Tamil actor from India and my friend, was the chief guest and honoured the occasion. Rtn.PP.David Louise handed over his presidential charges to me. (Photo above.)

I served as the district chair for the literacy club and was in-charge for inaugurating new RCC clubs, Rotaract clubs and Interact clubs in the district after 2008, till I changed my membership to Rotary Club of Casey, Victoria, Australia in 2018. I was not a member of Rotary Club of Thanjavur New Town for four years from 2013-2017, while I was away in Malaysia.
