This week, we start learnt about United Nation where it is international organization over the world. The organization had founded after World War II to stop war between countries and provide platform for dialogue. Aims of United States are international laws, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights and achievement of world peace. There have six principal organs which are the General Assembly, the Security Level, the Economic and Social, the Secretariat, the International Court of Justice and the last one the United Nation Trusteeship Council. Every each of those organs has their duty work. In addition, United Nation agencies are includes World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Programme (WSP) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Now, I would like to introduce United Nation that I know from secondary school. United Nation is the most prominent position Secretary-General which has been held by Ban Ki- Moon of South Korea since 2007. The headquarters of United Nation is in New York City and also main offices at Geneva and Vienna. United Nation only has six official languages which are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. United Nation established the Security Council to maintaining peace and security among countries. It made up from 15 member states and permanent members is from China, Russia, UK and US. Currently, there is non-members country from Azerbaijan, India, South Africa, Colombia, Morocco, Togo, Germany, Pakistan, Guatemala and Portugal. This organization gives president’s seat only for two year but four years for General Assembly. It rotated each month but only in inter country.
Malaysia also helps United Nation in resolve international conflicts. Join the UN peacekeeping force in Congo (1960) to end the civil war. In 1998, Malaysia representing UN peacekeepers to Namibia to help the country achieves independence. Then, Malaysia sent team of observers to the Iran and Iraq border and sent a team of observers to Cambodia. Malaysia’s outspoken at the UN against Apartheid policy in South Africa. Suggest that the Antarctic continent became a world heritage site remain the property or force all countries. In my opinion, Malaysia is really helps United Nation to keep peace over the world. Malaysia also cooperates and participates in the UN international agencies such as cooperation in the production of food under the agency Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), cooperation in the fields of health and medicine in the World Health Organization (WHO) and cooperation in science and technology under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Culture of the United Nations (UNESCO).
I knew only about United Nation when i learnt in secondary school. but i am not remember all of that. It has in History subject. I really likes History subject because I can know all about before this and all of that is fact not fake. i am so happy can learnt again about United Nation. For me, United Nation is like savior. They play their role in keeping peace around the world. They not only help for themselves but also the other people. I really proud with have United Nation in help us live in peace without war.
